The latest Avaya IP DECT solution - DECT R4 - delivers superior voice quality over a secure, assigned frequency that minimizes or eliminates interference from other wireless devices. A scalable DECT solution, Avaya DECT R4 supports up to 32 base stations at a single site, and up to 120 handsets may be supported on IP Office. Existing Avaya IP DECT handsets (3711) can be used with Avaya DECT R4 in GAP mode, with limited feature support. Alternately, the newer handsets, the 3720 and the 3725, can be used with the legacy IP DECT system, again in GAP mode with limited feature support.

With more choice in DECT handset solutions, Avaya has also introduced some new high-end features. The Avaya 3725 DECT Wireless Telephone features a color display, Bluetooth compatibility, and liquid and dust protection, making it the ideal mobility solution for demanding environments.
